Mentoring Programs

TPF offers young leaders that have been or may have been identified as “at-risk” an opportunity to work with a mentor to improve their ability to develop a positive attitude towards their future.  The long-term goal of TPF is to empower the young leader to break the habits that are leading to trouble during school, out of school, and in the community. TPF developed 4 initial mentoring programs.

Tony's Kids

TONY'S JUNIOR GOLFERS

Tony’s Junior Golfers is the central program of TPF.  At-risk middle school students and their mentors participate in a structured program that provides self–assurance and control over their own lives. Tony’s Junior Golfers will participate in mentorship programs and assessments by empowering themselves with education using good decision making skills and emotional growth followed by a month to month structured program that includes team-building and group activities. The program has a graduation process with a certificate of completion; however, the mentor and mentee will continue their responsibility toward producing  positive outcomes.

Derrick's Jr. Golfers

DERRICK'S JUNIOR GOLFERS

Derrick’s Junior Golfers will focus on students who have been suspended from various public schools. The goal of the program is to re-connect with the student’s commitment to learning, reinforce their greatness, and better meet their responsibility to themselves and to their community.  This program encourages students to graduate from high school and achieve long term success for themselves, their families, and their communities.  It is the goal of TPF to slow the trend of stagnation and increase high school graduation.
